Brookside Academy's Senior Program makes complete use of the progressive approach to learning that is the lynchpin of our nationally acclaimed thematic based curriculum, and further incorporates Brookside Academy's Kindergarten Readiness Program. By combining these two curricula, the resultant program works to provide the student with opportunities to simultaneously develop academically, socially & emotionally. Pre-reading skills, including an introduction to phonics, as well as an introduction to mathematics are woven throughout the program year. Community awareness is fostered through social studies about self, family & community helpers. Finally, opportunities for free expression in art, music, storytelling, and creative play round out our early childhood development program. Additional advanced elective course offerings including computer science, music, dance and dramatic art will be offered to seniors that seek additional challenges in their schedules.
Summertime fun & camaraderie at Brookside Academy "Sprayground Water Park & Beach" will remain fond memories as our students graduate to pursue further educational opportunities, as will discovering the exciting world around them on community field trips to the post office, the library and the grocery store!
