Brookside Academy Sophmores
Brookside Academy
Sophomores are generally aged from 24 months to 36 months, however all
Brookside
programs accelerate or decelerate the progress of our student body based on the
individual needs, the developmental level and the accomplishments of the
student.
Brookside Academy's
Sophomore Program utilizes a low teacher/student ratio that encourages the time
necessary for positive interaction between teacher & student, creating healthy
interpersonal bonds & building the student's self esteem. All students are
encouraged to increase their gross and fine motor skills through exploration of
various manipulative materials and developmentally appropriate toys.
Brookside Academy's
curriculum, a nationally acclaimed readiness program, is first introduced into
the Sophomore Program with emphasis on communication skills such as speech &
language development. It was specifically designed to utilize hands-on
experiences to help promote learning through the use of language, music, art,
games, storytelling and cognitive activities. In addition, appropriate self
help skills are introduced such as potty training, dressing skills along with
the concepts of independence and self confidence.
Brookside Academy's
Sophomore Program will ease the student into other exciting endeavors such as
intro to music, intro to art & intro to computers. How proud they are to master
the manipulation of their mouse!
